Developer Trion Wolrds released the much anticipated MMORPG named Defiance back in April 2013, along side the Syfy television show of the same name. The big draw to the game was the fact that the game would tie in to the television show and the television show would tie in with events in game. Defiance started out with having the buy the game and would had an in game marketplace to purchase upgrades, boosts, ect. With a rocky start to the game and a somewhat successful fan base to the television show, the game and show went live and has been on going for the past year.
I myself was able to play the game once it was released and gave it a couple of months. I also followed the television show for the first season. I can say that I enjoyed the television show a bit more than the game itself. There were times in game that evens would tied in with the events of the show. Gameplay was a bit repetitive, in game events could be done in groups or solo. Most of the time, boss fights or major fights required a group of other players to complete. In game world events were common in the game world, and you would see other players join in at times to complete the world events. The game had/has its own unique aspects, but unfortunately was not as popular as it was expected.
Starting June 4th, Defiance will be going Free-to-Play. You will no longer be required to pay for the game as it was like at release. This is a great opportunity for those who were not able to try out the game at release with out purchasing it. The game will still have a subscription base option and this is how it will break down.

Its that time of the year again, when announcements for the next Call of Duty game are being teased in talks, reviews, leaks, and trailers. The above "A new era arrives May 4th" would have been a good build up to every ones suspicions. Not much was revealed there and we all thought we would have to wait till May the 4th to find out what the commotion was all about anyway....
By some mistake or miracle, the wish of all the Call of Duty fans out there were answered. Below is the actual trailer 2 days early. Seems someone leaked the actual trailer and here for all to see "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" from Sledgehammer Games scheduled to be released 11.4.14
From the creators who brought you Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2, Turtle Rock Studios brings us a a new co-operative multiplayer shooter, and the way its meant to be played.... Evolve
Evolve is a 4 v 1, first person, third person co-operative shooter. Confusing? Well it is actually quite simple. Each match consists of 5 players, 1 player controls giant monster in third person, and 4 player controls hunters in first person.
Each one of the hunters plays an important role in the game and team, in which you have to all work together in order to survive. The classes are Trapper, Hunter, Assault, and Support. The objective of the hunters is to hunt down the monster as soon as possible, as the monster gets more powerful as time goes on. Assaults deals a high amount of damage and Medic has the job to heal the team and try to disable the monster, Trapper hunts down and tries to coral the monster into a single area and Support has abilities that are offensive and defensive.
As the monster, you are trying to take out the 4 hunters. Tactics are to avoid the hunters early on and for as long as possible. You job is to hide and eat in order grow and become stronger to evolve into a bigger creature. Eventually being able to evolve and turning the tables, making you the hunter and the others the prey.
This is a unique experience and a new way to play as a true co-operative team. If one player isn't pulling their weight, then the monster will definitely have the upper hand. Being the monster, you have the ability to evolve into an unstoppable force if given enough time and make the players your prey. The game is highly anticipated and from the gameplay trailers it looks like it will be a fun experience. In some ways it gives the feeling of L4D and L4D2 multiplayer where the 4 characters fight through the map, except in evolve its just you 4 and the powerful Tank type class.
The game is currently available for pre-order and is set to release on Xbox One, PS4, and PC on December 31, 2014. Give us your thoughts on the game and if you are looking forward to it.

The Destiny website: http://www.destinythegame.com/
has received a major overhaul and has some cool new features and information about the game. Right from the start, you can see the 4 new dynamic sections rotating from one section to another.
The first one gives a glimpse of the 3 playable hero classes standing side by side. Clicking on the "Choose your Guardian" button, takes you to a close up of each class and lets you learn more about them by clicking on the corresponding image. They are, the Titan, Hunter and Warlock classes.
The next slide shows you the Fallen Captain enemy class, and by choosing the "Study your Enemies" button, it will reveal each of the enemy types which are: the Fallen, the Hive, the Vex, and the Cabal. You can gather more information by clicking on the individual enemy classes.
The third slide shows you the surface of the planet Venus, and by choosing "Explore what Awaits" you can learn more of each of the planets, their back story, and possible playable map locations. The places you can explore are: Earth, the Moon, Venus, and Mars.
The fourth and final slide is for the Beta sign up, for which you have to pre-order the game to take part in. Though the slide itself give us a short 10 sec action gameplay video of which is worth watching a few times just to take it all in.
I'd highly encourage you to check out the revamp of the website and click though the vast information they have provided for the upcoming title developed by Bungie and published by Activision which is set to release on September 9th, 2014.
The video below features a action gameplay trailer for each class: Titan Class in which you can see their bubble shield ability. The Hunter Class showing you their blink ability (if this is class specific, is not confirmed), and The Warlock Class showing of its Axiom bolt ability at the end.
