Tom Clancy's The Division Open BETA!

Get ready for round 2 of Tom Clancy's The Division BETA.  If you were able to join in the first round of the BETA test, then you will know that there were some highs and lows of the test.

With a few very minor bugs like not being able to use your mouse, which happened to me.  The fix for it was a simple restart of the game, which fix the issue.  To some reports of weapon and ammo hacks which allowed some players to exploit the game.

Beyond the bugs, the gameplay was solid and the storyline, I think, is very interesting and it takes the player right into the thick of the game from the beginning.

The Open BETA dates have been revealed and announced.  With the XBOX One getting a one day head start on the 18th of February.  The rest of us on PS4 and PC will be able to join in on the 19th of February.  The entire open BETA test will come to a close on the 21st of February, but here's hoping they they will extend the dates a couple of days like they did with the last one.

In the Open BETA test, players will get a chance to experience a new mission and unlock an exclusive reward at the launch of the game.  For more details on the BETA test check out the Tom Clancy's The Division site.

Let us know in the comment section below if you were able to get into the first BETA test and your thoughts on the game so far!  Here's hoping to see you all in game during BETA or at launch!

I do enjoy checking out the different collectors's editions that many games come with now these days.  Sure they can be expensive, but most are worth the price if the game is awesome and if the items are exclusive to the collector's editions only.  Check out the folks over at Square Enix doing an official HITMAN Collector's Edition Unboxing in the video below:

ARK: Survival Evolved Updates!

ARK: Survival Evolved recently received and update with a few new items, new content and even a new dinosaur!

The Terror Bird, also known as the Phorusrhacidae Rapidesultor, is a ferocious but tamable avian capable of high-speed sprints and brief hover-like leaps.  It is not a flying bird per se, as its flight is comprised of short, sustained “Joust”-like glides or leaps. At eight to 12 feet tall, the Terror Bird is aggressive, but still tamable and ridable, making it an excellent combat mount, particularly for harassing and scouting. Riders of the Terror Bird gain most of the benefits of a fast, mobile ground-based theropod, while also gaining some of the freedom of movement from a flyer. It is known to show traits related to theropods such as the Utahraptor, Carnotaurus and the ever formidable Tyrannosaurus Rex.

Implemented in this patch is a new tool/weapon that players will have access to called The Grappling Hook.  This will enable players to scale mountain side cliffs, be able to catch a ride by grappling flying creatures, and even be dragged along the ground by other players or creatures in the wild.  A versatile tool that will up your prehistoric game to the next level, but learning to use it will be key.

Other additions to the game will be PvE and PvP via the Tribe Alliances, where small groups of members will be able to band together to form an Alliance.  A fishing upgrade has been implemented as well with the changes to the Coelacanth Nutritia, or Coel which are now in different sizes and will provide the player different amounts of resources.

Check out the Spotlight Trailer below with some subtle comedic parts added which I think turned out great!
