This upcoming Fall we are getting a handful of great games coming out. There's Mafia III, Battlefield 1, Civ VI and some other great titles. Although one game in particular that is making a great entrance is the fourth installment of the Gears of War series. "A new saga begins for one of the most acclaimed video game franchises in history. After narrowly escaping an attack on their village, JD Fenix and his friends, Kait and Del, must rescue the ones they love and discover the source of a monstrous new enemy."
While the story line is interesting let's not forget about all the great ways to dismember mutants..
Couple of the main features we will getting are the co-op campaign, Horde 3.0 and online multiplayer. Gears of War was one of the first games I got along with my Xbox 360 back in 2007 and a great memory. The mechanics of the game is the main selling point, if you like a intense shooter that incorporates teamwork and you enjoy tons of gore.. this is your game.
The game is set to release October 11, 2016.
Here are some recommended specs.
Are you guys excited for some 4K mutant slaying action? Let us know in the comment section below.
The upcoming Tekken game will be brought to PC and we get a sneak peak of how amazing it will be. Let's get straight to the point, here is some gameplay at 4K 60FPS on the new GTX 1080!.
The game is set to release early 2017. It will be on Unreal Engine 4 and by the looks of the video, it looks crisp and buttery smooth! I'm not exactly sure why Akuma is in some of the screenshots but I'm not complaining. Since he is not currently in Street Fighter V it will be nice being able to use him in Tekken 7. I'm sure the fighting game community is really excited for the release of this. I'll be keeping an eye out for any future updates.
It's been a fairly long wait but in 5 days time we will have the latest World of Warcraft expansion. I don't know about you but I'm all sick of doing demon invasions and ready for the new content. Based on all the content and news so far this is likely going to be a huge makeover for the game. I've had the chance to check out the pre-patch and many things are completely redesigned. For the PVE players there will be plenty of new dungeons and raids available. On the PVP side of things we will be getting a prestige system with some neat features. For those who want to start getting into PVP, they have removed the gear advantage. In addition, a new wardrobe system was implemented for all players.
There will likely be a huge wave of Demon Hunters at launch just like when Death Knights were released in WotLK. While the 2 previous expansion had somewhat of a nonlinear story line, Legion will be continuing the legacy of Illidan and the Burning Legion. Burning Crusade was a great expansion in my opinion and I do hope Legion will be able to top it.

A little over 4 months after of the release of Dark Souls 3 the first DLC has been announced. The name of the new DLC is called Ashes of Ariandel and it is set to release on October 25, 2016 for PC, Xbox and PS4. Now this is stated to be the Dark Souls series final game which is a bittersweet deal. That being said I hope the DLCs that are going to be released are somewhat lengthy.
The new expansion will be in a snowy setting which, based on some of the screenshots, looks wonderful. Hopefully all the swamps are frozen over as well! Currently the DLC boasts new armor/weapons, spells and a new PVP arena. I will personally be warming up on my parries for some PVP action.
Anyone else here excited for this announcement or do you have other games in mind?
With the new release of No Man's Sky comes a lot of controversy. It may all come down to the fact that this game was severely over-hyped. While I enjoyed the initial gameplay and features, I could not help but feel the game was a little rough around the edges. This is where the benefits of being a PC gamer kicks in, the community has already started creating many mods for this game. We have everything from improved textures, "Instagram filter remover" and a mod to get rid of that annoying press and hold cursor.
While modding sometimes ruins the game's integrity, I feel No Man's Sky is a game that will reap full benefits from the modding community. As of now we may be looking at the next-gen Skyrim if every falls together well. By this I mean: modding should be allowed as long as they don't plan on adding a multiplayer function. If there is a multiplayer function in the future, they need to separate single and multiplayer modes. I don't believe the developers have commented on the mods as of yet but I can see the game prosper if they fully support it.
Here are a few mods that I have tried and enjoyed:
1. Fast Actions - This will remove the click and hold to select, making it just a single click.
2. Visual Overhaul

3. ShutUp - 75% does not mean low...
There are plenty of other mods on multiple sites, I have just mentioned the ones that I am using. Please know that certain mods do ruin the integrity of the game by making it too easy or just straight up cheating, it is up to your video game ethics to decide. No Man's Sky's modding community is still in its infancy and I'm sure there will be endless mods to come. I hoped you guys enjoyed the article, I will be getting back to being a space pirate.
